Thunder storms are beautiful things really. The jump of the lightning and crash of the thunder outside my window, performing a show of nature. I find it comforting somehow. The awe of such heat and power rumbling overhead, and the soft patter of the rain on the road. The vapors dance on the sidewalk. Ah that smell of fresh rain. Unforgettable. Then the wind picks up and of course I’m a sailor so it freaks me out because I know what wind can really do, so it kind of ruins the show.
